Smith gets 3 life sentences plus 50 years

Yesterday, a Jones County jury convicted David Clinton Smith of numerous crimes involving the brutal sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences followed by 50 years.

The District Attorney’s Office would like to thank the Jones County Sheriff's Office, especially Investigators John Simmons and Crystal Murphy, for their work on the case. The case was tried by Assistant District Attorney Cara Fiore.
