Sheppard pleas to trafficking meth in Greene County

Jumor Sheppard, 36, pleaded guilty just before trial to trafficking over 4 pounds of methamphetamine through Greene County in July of 2023. Sheppard and his co-defendant Courtney Givens, 30, had picked a jury on September 9, but when they returned for trial on September 11, Sheppard decided he wanted to plea.

Judge Stephen A. Bradley sentenced Sheppard to thirty years. He will have to serve the first twenty of that in prison. After he entered his plea, he testified that Givens did not know he had put the box containing the methamphetamine in the trunk and that she was innocent. The District Attorney’s Office then dismissed the charge against her.
