Hensley sentenced to Life without Parole

On June 23, 2021, a Putnam County jury returned a verdict of guilty for three (3) counts of Aggravated Child Molestation, Rape of a Child under 10 years, Incest and Child Molestation against Edward Hensley. The painful and disturbing testimony of a 7-year-old and 5-year-old were sufficient to convince the jury of the crimes committed by the Defendant. The Honorable Brenda H. Trammell sentenced the defendant to Life without the possibility of Parole. The case was prosecuted by Putnam County's assistant district attorney, Savanna Roughen, and senior assistant district attorney, Dawn M. Baskin. The Office of the District Attorney extends their thanks to the members of the jury, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the Crescent House of Navicent Medical Center in Macon.
