This afternoon, Chad Louis Haufler, Sr. was convicted by a Greene County jury of 2 counts of Malice Murder, 2 counts of Felony Murder, Possession of Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Battery. This incident stems from the August 28, 2018 shooting where Marc Dimos was shot and killed by Haufler. After being convicted, the Defendant was sentenced by Honorable Brenda H. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation for their hard work with this case. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of Assistant District Attorneys, Allison Mauldin and Blayne May, on this case.

After a long week in court, our office and your District Attorney, T. Wright Barksdale III, would like to wish you all a happy and safe Father’s Day weekend.
