Baldwin County conviction on Timothy McClendon

A Baldwin County jury deliberated less than a hour before convicting Timothy Ivester McClendon of 3 counts of child molestation on an 11 year old victim. The verdict followed a 4-day trial which included testimony from a teenaged victim who had accused McClendon of sexual abuse back in 2014 in Chattooga County, Georgia. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison, followed by 30 years of sex offender probation and banishment from Baldwin County. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Nancy Scott Malcor and Tammy Coffey; they were assisted during the trial by our Office's Investigator, Clay Wiggins. Our office would like to thank Detective Everett D. January and the Milledgeville Police Department for their hard work on this case.
